Keith Hughes played pro baseball from 1982-1995, making it to majors several times with several different clubs.
He sent a note recently telling me that his favorite team growing up was one of his future teams, the Phillies!
He mentions making his MLB debut with the Yankees in 1987. He says that, in his first at bat, he lined out to Jose Canseco.
He says that he loved playing in Louisville. He remembers the park being great for left handed hitters, as it was only 280 feet to right!
I asked him about his time with the Columbus Clippers. He mentions that he was there parts of 4 years and he has many great memories and played with many great players.
