Brian Sweeney has pitch in pro baseball for almost a decade and a half now. He has been everywhere and spent 3 years in Japan! At the MLB level, he played for Seattle and San Diego. He has had some GREAT years, going 6-0 at high A in 1998, 12-4 in 2004 at AAA and with the Padres. He went 12-5 for Nippon in 2008!
I saw him play for Buffalo last year at Toledo. I sent him the photo you see and he kindly signed it, and sent a nice note!
He mentions that he loves the Seattle area, noting that there is a lot of culture and great food.
He was happy to play for Buffalo because he was close to home, and he was able to sleep in his own bed some nights, which is rare during the season.
